Advocacy
At the heart of the Passenger Vessel Association’s (PCVA) mission is a commitment to advocate for our members and ensure their interests are represented at the government level. As requested by our members, one of our primary roles is to speak up on behalf of the passenger vessel industry, especially with the many regulatory changes on the horizon from Transport Canada and the broader business community.
The PCVA keeps a close watch on any developments that could impact our members, staying ahead of the curve by attending key industry meetings such as the Canadian Marine Advisory Council (CMAC) and networking with a variety of partners. By staying involved and engaged in these discussions, we ensure that our members’ voices are heard and their concerns are addressed at all levels of decision-making.
Our advocacy efforts don’t just stop at attending meetings – we actively push for policies that benefit our members and help shape the future of the industry. Whether it’s navigating regulatory challenges, providing input on industry standards, or working to influence new legislation, the PCVA is always on the front lines of advocacy.
